Always Organic, Always Yummy
Chef Kimber brings her deep connection to farming, local and sustainable produce, and her love of sharing “goodness” to all her clients. Formally trained with an AS in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management, Chef Kimber combines the experience of the Farmgirl with skills and knowledge to help her clients meet their goals and aspirations. She is a member of the United States Personal Chef Association, Slow Food Santa Cruz and Women’s Chef and Restauranteurs.
After receiving a BA in American Studies and Education at UCSC, Kimber went on to receive a Primary Montessori Teaching Credential. She was a teacher for 9 years until deciding it was time to follow her lifelong dream of attending culinary school. While in culinary school she helped start a local non-profit that provided meals to those and their families in Santa Cruz County who are suffering from a life-threatening illness. For 2 years, as the Kitchen Manager, Kimber worked closely with the on-staff holistic dietitian creating menus, producing hundreds of delicious organic meals and cooking from an entirely different perspective. Cooking became about being an active participant and contributor to the clients overall health and recovery. Her cooking took a dramatic shift and this experience continues to inspire and influence how she utilizes her skills to contribute to the well-being of her clients.
